Original Lemp Chargers at Joel Gandt's fantastic Lemp Site
These chargers are rather common. Often are presented as pre-pro originals. However, the originals will have Lemp along with Falstaff indicated on cases, bottles and some shields.

Modified Lemp Charger
| |
This was the last design issued by LempBrewing prior to selling the Falstaff copyright to Joseph Greisidieck. There must have been some chargers that were not given out and Falstaff painted over the Lemp name and added Falstaff to the bottle and shield. Click on the thumbnails to see larger image.

Dresden Art Plate, Not Falstaff Brewing Ad.

I am including this plate/charger because it often shows up listed under breweriana on eBay and the artwork appears to be influenced by the work of Eduard von Gurtzner, the same as Lemps advertising. These plates date from the same period(ca. 1901-1909) and were made by The Meek Company of Coshocton, Ohio. This was catalog number 206 and was used as advertising gifts by several companies. I have not seen it used for any breweries. Mine advertises "With Best Wishes Xmas 1907 Nougaret's Cafe The only French Restaurant in the Queen City"
